As we did last year we have opted to not send out cards and gifts to clients again for Christmas. Instead we have found a charity in Cheshire that could really use some help at this time of the year and made a lump sum donation to them instead. We were so impressed by their work we have decided to make them our Charity of the Year and will be looking at other ways to help them over the next 12 months too.

The Charity is called Chance and, based in Crewe, they are doing amazing work across Cheshire in providing a Community Supermarket and Homeless Soup Kitchen throughout the year to help support an ever increasing number of families and people in need.

Their plans for the Christmas period include offering a Christmas Dinner for families and people in need, vouchers for the Community Supermarket, a special breakfast and boxes for their homeless friends containing all they need to keep warm over the festive period.

We are privileged to be able to support them and were able to fund Christmas dinner for 25 families in deep poverty as well as sleeping bags, silver blankets, hand warmers and gifts at the homeless kitchen. But the volume of people in need is shocking and unfortunately we can’t do it all, as much as we would like to, so you can get involved too by simply texting TENNER to 70085 to fund a Christmas dinner for the homeless and vulnerable this Christmas.

Merry Christmas from all at LFI.
