Escape of Water Scene Preservation Training

As the season starts to change the temperatures drop and we tend to see more escape of water cases from burst pipes, separated fittings and other failures. It is important for our investigations that the relevant pieces of evidence are retained, but all too often in the clean up at homes, schools, offices etc. vital pieces are thrown away.

We are offering free tips and training for those Insurers and Loss Adjusters who are responsible for handling escape of water claims to help preserve evidence, which would assist any subsequent forensic investigation. This can include letting Policyholders know to take photographs on their mobile phones and giving suggestions on how to manage the evidence in front of them. We will also include what to look out for as indicators of some of the most common causes such as installation issues and frost damage.
